Aspire Therapy & Development Services, a leading multidisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic, is seeking a skilled and collaborative Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to serve in a key clinical leadership role, combining targeted patient care with direct supervisory oversight of a dedicated team of 2–3 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). In this position, you will lead client evaluations, establish individualized plans of care, and manage clinical delegation while providing structured mentorship, documentation oversight, and ongoing professional development to your COTA team. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Evaluations & Plans of Care: Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations for children with physical and/or developmental delays, establishing individualized Plans of Care (POC) and identifying appropriate goals for COTA delegation.
  • COTA Supervision & Leadership: Provide direct and indirect supervisory oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to 2–3 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in compliance with state licensure and practice acts.
  • Delegation & Caseload Management: Assign patient caseloads and specific treatment interventions to COTAs based on their demonstrated clinical competencies, patient needs, and facility workflows.
  • Documentation Review & Compliance: Audit, review, and co-sign COTA session notes, progress reports, and treatment updates to maintain high documentation standards, medical necessity, and insurance compliance.
  • Re-Evaluations & Goal Adjustments: Perform required periodic re-evaluations and collaborate closely with assigned COTAs to modify treatment strategies, adapt clinical goals, or plan for discharge.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with the Aspire team, families, and external providers to coordinate holistic, family-centered care, referring patients to other internal disciplines for consultation and evaluation as indicated.
  • Clinical Expertise & Education: Provide specialized pediatric OT expertise, case consultations, and ongoing clinical education to the COTA team and the broader multidisciplinary staff.
  • Quality & Staff Development: Conduct clinical competency evaluations for supervised COTAs, support their professional growth, and ensure all care meets regulatory standards and clinic quality benchmarks.

Requirements:
  • Current Wisconsin Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for license.
  • Experience in a pediatric setting or in a clinical rotation is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated successful experience supervising or mentoring COTA(s) or OTs.
  • Willingness to grow in your skills.
